THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR First Trailer: Wanna Kill A Politician?

Following The Purge, which terrorized Ethan Hawke and his family at their suburban home, and The Purge: Anarchy, which followed Frank Grillo as he sought his own sort of vengeance in the city, The Purge: Election Year finds Mr. Grillo evidently employed as a bodyguard for politician Elizabeth Mitchell, who is sufficiently daring to suggest that the U.S. legislation known as "the purge" should be repealed. 

James DeMonaco returns as writer/director. The first trailer for the new film suggests it will very much be in the fashion of the two previous installments; though they were more social dramas than horror thrillers, as advertised, both had their moments. And the new movie may be just what we need in the middle of a very long political year.
