Vicky Zhao To Direct Animated Version Of MY FAIR PRINCESS

Variety reported yesterday that Chinese actress Vicky Zhao will be directing an animated version of, My Fair Princess, a very popular television drama she starred in back in the 90s (pictured left). Zhao was a star of the program about an orphan girl and her unexpected rise to royalty. 

For Zhao, star of ScreenAnarchy faves like Shaolin Soccer and John Woo's Red Cliff films, this marks a continuing trend into directing after her debut Mei You Bie De Ai (So Young) in 2013.

The pic will produced through Alibaba Pictures Group, a production company of which Zhao and her husband are stakeholders.
