This week Sarah Gavron's
Suffragette premieres, a drama about some of the heroines of the early women's rights movements. With a subject like that it is no surprise it has a veritable crème de la crème of actresses starring in it, from Meryl Streep to Carey Mulligan. And among them is the great Helena Bonham Carter, who we chose to feature in this week's quiz.
And feature she does, as her unique ultra-expressive face has been used to spice up many a stuffy costume drama. Her looks are such a special mix of child-like and mature, that if she hadn't existed I have a nagging suspicion Tim Burton would have invented her.
Thankfully she is a fantastic actress as well. Therefore, once again I'm going to use eleven pictures of one of my favourite thespians to make a quiz. Click through the images, and guess which movies or shows they're from. No competition, no prizes, just for fun, try to see how far you get without using IMDb!
And I'll post the answers next Thursday, or earlier if someone gets all eleven of them right.
Here she is as Edith Ellyn in Suffragette.
This picture doesn't count yet for the quiz, but all others do, so please browse through the gallery: click on the edge of the picture to get the next one, and see how many of them all you can identify!
