Saskatoon Fantastic 2015: DEATHGASM And GREEN ROOM Added To Festival Lineup

The Saskatoon Fantastic Film Festival is making room for two more films to its already solid lineup. This is not just my bias as a programmer for the festival. Theoretically my mom thinks this is a pretty darned cool lineup too. By default she still thinks every thing I do is awesome.

Someway and somehow we are going to find more hours in the days during the festival to add Kiwi horror comedy Deathgasm and the latest film from Blue Ruin's Jeremy Saulnier, the thriller Green Room

Deathgasm - Shunned Metalheads in a small New Zealand town summon an ancient evil through the power of heavy metal music.

Green Room - A band stumbles on to a horrific act of violence and become the targets of a gang of white power skinheads.

The Saskatoon Fantastic Film Festival runs from September 30th through to October 5th. We previously announced that Cop Car, starring Kevin Bacon, will open the festival and Canadian cult hit Turbo Kid will close the festival.

Other highlights in the lineup include Korean thriller A Hard Day, Takashi Miike's Yakuza Apocalypse and the Women's Genre Shorts Programme curated by our own Dr. Shelagh. Again, no bias here (wink).
