BONE TOMAHAWK: RLJ Entertainment Inc. Acquires North American Rights

RLJ Entertainment Inc. has acquired the North American (US and Canadian) rights for S. Craig Zahler's upcoming western Bone Tomahawk. The film stars Kurt Russell along with Patrick Wilson (Insidious), Matthew Fox (Lost), Lili Simmons (Banshee), and Richard Jenkins (Cabin in the Woods).

When a group of cannibal savages kidnaps settlers from the small town of Bright Hope, an unlikely team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Russell), sets out to bring them home. But their enemy is more ruthless than anyone could have imagined, putting their mission - and survival itself - in serious jeopardy.

RLJ Entertainment Inc. will release the film under new theatrical banner RLJ Entertainment. They almost always give their acquisitions home theatre and digital platform releases as well.

"We are proud to be bringing this thrilling film to US audiences this year," said (RLJ Entertainment's Chief Acquisitions Officer, Mark) Ward.  "With S. Craig Zahler's uncompromising vision and the raw performances from the incredible cast, there is no doubt that BONE TOMAHWK will be an instant classic."

Bone Tomahawk will have its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, on October 1st. It is the closing film of the festival and someone from Team ScreenAnarchy will be there to follow up with a review.
