A multitude of press releases and social media announcements were made this week regarding the Australia-wide Scandinavian Film Festival. Included in the releases were; the key art featuring the radiant Ine Marie Wilmann from festival film Homesick, a great trailer (see below), and content direct from Cannes, as well as guest information.
Having seen the majority of films playing for the festival, reviews will certainly be available closer to the dates. For everything else, there is more after the bump.
Two films direct from Cannes have been added to the line-up this year. Black comedy Rams, and closing the Scandinavian Film Festival for 2015 is the documentary Ingrid Bergman In Her Own Words. Rams is an Icelandic black comedy concerning two brothers who have not spoken in forty years and have to reunite in order to save what's dearest to them; their rams. The film garnered much praise at Cannes and took home the Un Certain Regard.Confirmed guest for the festival is Finnish-Swedish comedy and drama actress Bianca Kronlöf; star of festival film Underdog.
