STAR WARS ROGUE ONE: Ben Mendelsohn Confirmed, Diego Luna Also Enlisted

What has been going around the rumor mill for a few weeks now has been confirmed. Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn is now officially part of the cast of the Star Wars anthology film Rogue One. 

Variety reported earlier today that Mendelsohn has landed the role of the film's villain but no one from Lucasfilm or Disney will confirm that for now. Honestly though, if Gareth Edwards can channel even a little bit of the Mendelsohn we saw in Animal Kingdom he could be a very noteworthy Star Wars villain indeed. 

Variety also reported that Mexican actor Diego Luna is also joining the cast, adding further ethnic diversity to the lineup. 

They join Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed.
