Joe and Anthony Russo, the directing brothers behind Captain America: Winter Soldier and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War will take over the reins on the Avenger films now.
THR has confirmed a report earlier in the day from Badass Digest that they will be directing Avengers: Infinity War - Parts 1 and 2.
Though no writers are attached to the project yet both sources suggest that Captain America regulars Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will work with the Russos again.
The Russos begin filming Civil War next month. Production on parts 1 and 2 of Infinity War is expected to begin in 2016 and the release dates are already set, May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.What's more, I keep getting told that Civil War is instrumental in setting up Infinity War, so it's great that the Russos will be able to bring their story all the way through to the end.
