Until The Day Breaks marks their first foray into feature filmmaking, and is a self-styled "sci-fi buddy movie" about an ageing village priest who comes to the aid of a stranded alien named Lee. This all happens in the wake of a zombie apocalypse that has decimated the land and left Revd. Ivan with only his imaginary friend, Maureen, for company.
Project Trident is looking to raise £50,000 by 1 April through their Kickstarter campaign, and is offering an impressive slew of rewards for anyone willing to part with anything from £1 to £5,000. They have their cast - including David Gant and Simon Panrucker - crew, script and pretty much everything else already sorted, including some pretty nifty digital effects work.
So if you can spare a few quid for what the team describes as "if Hammer made Flight Of The Navigator" or even "E.T. in Withnail & I" then definitely head over to their official page, where you will find loads of info, concept art, all the reward details and even a proof of concept trailer.
Until The Day Breaks sounds like loads of fun, but don't take my word for it, check out the campaign video below - listen to their pitch and marvel at some truly incredible sweaters!
