Of the eleven titles in the lineup this year, nine are having their World Premiere. The program includes Deathgasm from New Zealand, the haunted house flick We Are Still Here, and the latest for Adam Mason and Simon Boyes, Hangman.
The other two that played at another festival recently are Rodney Ascher's The Nightmare, one of the early front-runners for scariest movie of the year, and RKSS' Turbo Kid. If you only see two post apocalyptic films this year make sure one of them is Turbo Kid.
Also of interest is to know that five of these films come from first time filmmakers.
SXSW also announced all the short film programs today. In spite of their format the list of films is really, really long so we will direct you to Deadline for the full list of all short films playing at the festival this year.
For now, here is the full list of Midnighters and Midnight short films playing at the fest.
