DEEP WEB: Watch The Trailer For Alex Winter's Cyber Documentary

As we have seen over the past couple months the internet is a wonderful thing. Somebody is hacking somebody else, making e-mails public, taking over web sites, shutting down entire networks. Yep, it is truly a wonderful place. All the most of us ever have to worry about is being able to stream NetFlix.

Cue Alex Winter's documentary Deep Web. The Epix Original documentary will make its World Television premiere this Spring on, well, Epix. The trailer was just released and you can watch it below.

Deep Web will give the inside story of one of the the most important and riveting digital crime sagas of the century -- the arrest of Ross William Ulbricht, the entrepreneur alleged to be "Dread Pirate Roberts," founder of online black market Silk Road. The film will explore how the brightest minds and thought leaders behind the Deep Web and Bitcoin are now caught in the crosshairs of the battle for control of a future inextricably linked to technology, with our digital rights hanging in the balance.

In addition to being the only film with exclusive access to the Ulbricht family, Deep Web will feature the core architects of the Deep Web; anarchistic cryptographers who developed the Deep Web's tools for the military in the early 1990s; the dissident journalists and whistleblowers who immediately sought refuge in this seemingly secure environment; and the figures behind the rise of Silk Road, which combined the security of the Deep Web with the anonymity of cryptocurrency.
