These two roles immediately point out the actor's all-purpose versatility, easily usable as wither a menacing villain or the coolest family member. And while his filmography is eclectic, including classics and clunkers both, he is never the weak link in them.
Fun fact: despite being born with a severe cleft palate, also known as a "harelip", Stacy Keach grew up (after surgery on the lip and upper-mouth) to become a popular, handsome actor. And though the affliction is often linked with speech impediments, he managed to cultivate a voice pleasant enough to be used in many documentaries and animated films.
So once again I'm going to use eleven close-ups of one of my favorite thespians to make a quiz. Click through the images and guess which movies they're from. No competition, no prizes, just for fun. Try to see how far you get without using IMDb.
I'll post the answers next Thursday (or earlier if someone gets all eleven of them right).
And here are the two faces of Stacy Keach on display in cinemas this week. On the left he is Gramps in If I Stay, on the right he is the vile Wallenquist in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.
Both these pictures aren't part of the quiz yet, but the others are. Browse through them all, and see how many you recognize!
