But that's not all, as the fest hosts plenty of world and international premieres, film sales (animated film on depression Rock in My Pockets and black Polish comedy Kebab&Horoscope were bought by New Europe Film Sales just before the beginning of the festival), projects in development looking for funding, and a little space reserved for good old Hollywood glitz with Mel Gibson receiving a Crystal Globe for his outstanding artistic contribution to world cinema (Mad Max was screened in the Outdoor Cinema to honour the occasion). William Friedkin also received a Crystal Globe for his contribution to world cinema. In addition, Laura Dern presented Wild at Heart and discussed her collaboration with David Lynch, among others.
