Pang regular Miriam Yeung stars alongside Eric Tsang, Louis Koo and Gigi Leung, and the film is slated for a May release in Hong Kong. While the official line-up has yet to be announced, it's very likely that Aberdeen will debut at the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival, which is to be held from 24 March - 7 April.
Here's the official synopsis:
Life starts and ends with a breath of air. And between each breath, one goes through life's ups and downs and its joy and sorrow. Aberdeen tells the story of 3 generations of the CHENG family as they cope with the trauma of the past and learn to reconcile and move on.CHENG Wai-ching (Miriam YEUNG) is a tour guide at the museum. Her mundane life with husband YAU Kin-cheung (Eric TSANG) is plagued by his affair with a young nurse and her estranged relationship with her parents. Wai-ching's brother Wai-tao (Louis KOO) is a successful tutor married to a model Ceci KWOK (Gigi LEUNG), whose career is on the decline. They have trouble coping with a daughter who tries too hard to please because of her unattractive appearance. Their father CHENG Dong (NG Man-tat) is given the cold shoulder by his children because of his relationship with nightclub hostess (Carrie NG).
