Dante Lam's UNBEATABLE To Open Hong Kong's Summer IFF 2013

Dante Lam's eagerly awaited mixed martial arts drama, Unbeatable, will have its domestic debut on 13 August, when it opens this year's Hong Kong Summer International Film Festival. Previously entitled MMA, the film stars Nick Cheung and Eddie Peng, and picked up Best Actor and Best Actress awards (for 10-year-old co-star Crystal Lee) last month at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Summer IFF 2013 will close with Francois Ozon's Young & Beautiful, which debuted in competition at Cannes earlier this year. Also in the programme are a wide range of arthouse titles and crowdpleasers, including Kurosawa Kiyoshi's Real, Claire Denis' Bastards, Jane Campion and Garth Davis' Top of the Lake and Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.

Personal recommendations from the line-up also include Kudo Kankuro's Maruyama The Middle-schooler and Shane Meadows' The Stone Roses: Made of Stone. For more information about the full festival programme and ticketing, visit the official festival website here.
