That the filmmakers can equate deep meaning and politics to Ghostbusters is both hilarious and brilliant. Is it a film about obesity? The politics of banning smoking? Women's control of their sexuality and bodies? Either way, it is delightfully compulsive about the populist 1984 blockbuster in a way that is endearing, particularly, since Ivan Reitman's film (unlike The Shining, is not even close to the art house sphere.)
Please let it be real, because I rather hope this sort of documentary becomes a nano-genre of sorts.
