Matt Damon might have a screenwriting Oscar and a pretty damn successful acting career, but he has yet to get behind the director's chair. That is about to change. Damon is set to direct a drama co-written and co-starring The Office's John Krasinski. The script, developed with author Dave Eggers, is said (by THR) to be in the vein of Damon oft-collaborator Steven Soderbergh's Erin Brokovich. The only reports so far circle around Damon playing a wandering salesman whose life changes dramatically when he arrives in a small town. The film is setup at Warner Bros. and could shoot as early as spring. We'll have more as it develops.
