One of the charming things about sixties animation is the way they would reuse shots endlessly. This show was one of the worst offenders. But the characters were so cool it didn't matter. Somewhere deep in outer space live humanoids Zandor and his wife Tara and son Dorno. Joining these advanced cave dwellers are a group of monstrous looking but friendly creatures that each possesses a unique ability. Zok, the flying dragon can shoot lasers from his eyes. Igoo is a giant rock skinned simian with tremendous strength. Tundro is an enormous cross between a rhino and an armadillo who can shoot rocks out of his horn. Finally there's Gloop and Gleep, protoplasmic sentient blobs that can shape shift and divide. You get all eighteen episodes on two discs. No extras but this is timelessly entertaining. Throw it on and I guarantee your kids will fall in love with it just like we did in the sixties and in reruns in the seventies.
