The BAFTAs have concluded on the other side of the pond and The King's Speech clearly had home field advantage taking home seven awards including acting awards for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. The film also won Best Film and Outstanding British Film awards along with Original Screenplay and Original Music.
David Fincher took home the Best Director prize for The Social Network. It also garnished wins for Editing and Screenplay. Another big winner was Inception for the technical awards - Sound, Visual Effects and Production Design - and Girl With the Dragon Tattoo won in the 'most obvious category in the world and we still need to spell it out for you' category, best Film Not in the English Language.
