The Movie Club Podcast talks Irreversible and Visitor Q

A number of people have asked Todd and other contributors if ScreenAnarchy was ever going to do some sort of podcast.  While that has not quite come together at this time, there are two of us from these parts that do contribute to the semi-regular Movie Club Podcast.  This is a bi-monthy (more or less) in depth discussion of two films, sort of like a book club, only with movies, and recorded for distribution on the internet.  There is a rotating roster of contributors - film writers, bloggers, and podcasters - including Swarez and Kurt from ScreenAnarchy, but also from The Documentary Blog, Film Junk, Where The Long Tail Ends, Row Three and Quiet Earth.  Usually, I plug this podcast in our forum, but considering the two films are probably of significant interest to the ScreenAnarchy readership, and I think this may be one of our better episodes, here it is, splashed up on the main-site for a time.

As you can see by the title, the two films are Takashi Miike's controversial and taboo-shattering Visitor Q as well as Gaspar Noe's infamous and equally controversial Irreversible.

In the past the podcast has covered everything from Ghost Dog to Soylent Green to C.R.A.Z.Y. to Gimme Shelter to Grave of the Fireflies to Freddie Got Fingered.  Next episode will be F for Fake and Catfish
