Monkeypeaches is putting the word out there to any Caucasian currently residing in China on an open casting call for the $100 million budgeted fantasy US/China co-production Empires of the Deep.  It got mermaids, underwater sea monsters and the absolutely drop-dead gorgeous Monica Bellucci. Sounds like a fun way to spend your trip if your in the area.  Here are the details as posted directly from the source:

Movie title: Empires of the Deep (Hollywood production)

Duration: Four Months (Nov. 20 2009 - Mar. 19, 2010)

Filming locations: Zhuozhou (Hebei Province) or Huairou (Beijing) + Fujian Province (all in China)

Salary / Payment: Chinese yuan 8000/month.  Accommodation and transportation fees (one-way/return) will be provided.

Number of extras:  Male (10) + Female (15)

Requirements: (according to the screenplay)
Height:

Male: 1.85 M (at least)

Female: 1.75M (at least)
Speaking language:  English (interpreters will be provided by the production)

Ethnic:  Caucasian: European / North American origins are preferable
