Damn. That's a crapload of Nazis!
Oh happy day. Cannes 2009 is about the begin and the crew behind the Finnish film, Iron Sky, which all of you should know about by now, are over there in full swing ready to promote their follow up to the wildly successful Star Wreck. Today they've announced the rounding off of their German cast and released three new images today. Two are of cast members, the Über Hot Julia Dietze in the role of "Renate Richter" [I see they're still using my Fourth Reich got a little hotter bit] and Götz Otto in the role of "Klaus Adler" and the third is the motion poster you see before your eyes. But where is the image of Udo Kier? Where or where is our Udo? The hotness of Julia aside we sang with glee when we read that Udo Kier has also signed on as part of the cast in the role of "Wolfgang Höss".

Iron Sky, a dark scifi comedy set in the year 2018 about Nazis from the Dark Side of the Moon announced the latest additions to the films cast.
A famous German actor Götz Otto will step in the boots of the intelligence officer Klaus Adler, a fanatic Moon Nazi officer devoted on invading the Earth. Otto has previously appeared in numerous feature films and tv-series, including James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, in which he appeared as an evil assassin Stamper.
"When I first heard about Iron Sky, I instantly realized that it's a really wicked idea, something only a Finn could come up with." comments Otto. "Being German I thought it would be time for a comedy and spoof about this topic." he continues.
"My main interest was to find an actor who's shorter than me, and for this there's no one better than almost two meter tall Otto" laughs director Timo Vuorensola "Götz is a humoristic actor and a real gentleman with the right kind of rough charm and a voice that blow the windshield off the microphone." Vuorensola adds.
The other two cast members attached to Iron Sky are also from Germany. Veteran actor Tilo Prückner (Die Fälscher, Never Ending Story) will design all the awesome Nazitech as the mad Nazi scientist Doktor Richter, and the legendary Udo Kier (Dogville, Blade, Armageddon) will appear as the Nazi Moon base commander Wolfgang Höss.
Earlier the Moon Nazi fleet got hotter with Julia Dietze (1½ Ritter). Dietze will be starring Iron Sky as a Moon Nazi officer Renate Richter, who is sent to Earth with her fiancé Klaus Adler to find out if our planet is ripe for the Fourth Reich.
The US cast of the film will be published later in the summer.
An Iron Sky console/computer game is also being developed.
Three brand new teaser posters featuring the cast will be released along with a motion poster. From Cannes a series of Iron Sky Signal - videos will be released from 13th of May onward on the Iron Sky YouTube channel .
Iron Sky, produced by Blind Spot Pictures and co-produced by German 27 Films Production, has captivated the minds and hearts of the public with the killer pitch "In 1945 the Nazis went to the Moon. In 2018 they are coming back!". The teaser trailer of the film was released a year ago, and it gained so far over 2 million viewers.
The Iron Sky team, including the director Timo Vuorensola and the producer Tero Kaukomaa, are attending the Cannes Film Festival 2009.
