A rapid fire succession of incredible imagery and over the top performances ties together this film, a kind of "greatest hits" package of de la Iglesia's thematic obsessions... with killer clowns! March 12th
Perdita Durango
Be among the first to enjoy the newly restored 4K director's cut of a film that was cut to incomprehensible shreds upon its original release in the US (and retitled as Dance With the Devil). Perdita Durango was described by Fantasia programmer Mitch Davis as "a 120 minute trigger warning", and nothign can prepare you for this wild, border-hopping action film starring very young Rosie Perez and Javier Bardem as you've never seen them. Perdita Durango will be shown inside The Texas Theatre where screenings follow CinemaSafe Rules – masks are required and capacity is 17%.

The Day of the Beast
For my money this is de la Iglesia's masterpiece. His second feature pits a desperate priest against the lord of darkness as the former races to commit as many sins as possible in order to prevent the birth of the Antichrist on Christmas Day. The themes explored here would go on to invade much of de la Iglesia's later work, but this is the genesis of a tremendous body of work and style that deserves your full attention. Witching & Bitching
Men. Who needs them? Not the witches of Zagurramurdi!
