In Colin Campbell's intense and well shot The Sound of Fear, a young deaf woman inadvertently witnesses a murder and ends up on the run, racing through town and looking for help from people she can't communicate with.
It's a great premise for a thriller made even more authentic by the fact that actress Sandra Mae Frank is actually deaf.
Calling to mind recent horror hits like Don't Breathe and Mike Flanagan's Hush, The Sound of Fear offers an interesting twist on the home invasion genre.
The sequence below is taken from the feature length project. It was filmed in the hopes of drumming up additional support for the film, so if you like what you see, do share and re-post!
