[Updated with full trailer]
Austria's Stefan Ruzowitzky took home a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar for his 2007 effort The Counterfeiters and in a career already notable for taking some dark turns Ruzowitzky appears to be taking his darkest yet with the simply titled Hell (Die Hölle).
A dark and brutal crime thriller, Hell follows Özge - a young Turkish woman driving taxi in Vienna who witnesses a murder that may very well be the latest attack by a blossoming serial killer. With the killer knowing he's been seen Özge herself becomes a target, making a bad situation much, much worse.
A first teaser has just arrived in the lead up to the film's Austrian release and it is already abundantly clear that Ruzowitzky is not holding anything back here. In the lead up to production the director promised the toughest Austrian thriller of recent years and it appears he has delivered on that front. Take a look below!
