While his name is synonymous with modern horror, Stephen King doesn't focus solely on that genre. Arguably, one may find quite a bit of horror in his crime stories --- and even in his book On Writing, wherein he described a doctor piercing his ear drum with a needle as a sick child. It's an image and a sound I've never been able to shake. King's love for the past is well documented throughout his massive range of work; however, I'm not sure it's ever been so intimately explored as it is in his epic tome 11.22.63.
Adapted into a Hulu mini-series by several producers, including J.J. Abrams, the show stars James Franco as protagonist and divorced English teacher Jake Epping. The series will premiere on President's Day, February 15, 2016. Because why wouldn't it?
