Reportedly, The Rainbow down on the Sunset Strip in L.A. delivered his favorite arcade game to his home so he could keep playing; Lemmy was immortalized in the fantastic 2010 documentary "Lemmy" playing the repeatedly game in the club. Sadly, Lemmy's 70th birthday was just a few days ago. He also received a cancer diagnosis on December 26th. His Motorhead drummer, Phil Taylor, also died just last month.
It's as if Lemmy said, "Fuck it," and decided to enter the next realm before things got really bad. Of course, I don't know what really happened, but it's comforting to think that he shuffled off this mortal coil when he tired of this world, and went on to the next adventure.
Cheers, Lemmy. We'll miss you.
