Ever wondered what it takes to survive the independent film business in the current day and age? Well, director Justin McConnell certainly has and the director of Skull World and Working Class Rock Star is setting out to answer exactly that question with his upcoming documentary, Clapboard Jungle.
Already in the works for over a year and a half McConnell boasts an impressive array of interview subjects here, ranging from long time vets of the indie scene like Larry Fessenden, George A Romero and Brian Yuzna to experienced producers, sales agents, distributors, festival programmers and a big helping of the new guard to provide as comprehensive a guide to the current indie film environment. Seriously, the interview list is over 80 names long so there are a TON of people and perspectives in here. Hell, he even talked to me.
And with loads of interviews in the can McConnell has now launched an IndieGoGo campaign to help complete the film, so if you want an inside look at what makes this whole machine go here's your chance to help create exactly that. Check out the pitch below!
