NAFF Loads Up 8th 'It Project'
Notable names on the Korean side include PARK Jung-bum (The Journals of Musan, 2010) and KIM Gok (BiFan 2012 opening film Horror Stories), while Australian stop motion animator Isabel Peppard (Butterflies, 2012) is one of the foreign names in the lineup, along with cineaste Pang Ho-cheung (Vulgaria, 2012), listed as a producer for a HK pitch.
Since its inception in 2008, NAFF has proven to be a fertile birthing ground for Asian genre fare, by first shining a light on films such as The King of Pigs (2011), Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (2013), The Terror Live (2013) and last year's The Raid 2: Berandal.
In addition to sit-downs with dozens of potential investors and distributors, participants will be for competing for $60,000 worth of cash prizes, as well as post-production support awards. This year's NAFF will take place over July 19-22, during the 19th BiFan, which will run July 16-26.
