Argentina's Valentin Javier Diment won himself a lot of love in these pages with his La Memoria Del Muerto (Memory of the Dead), his deliriously strange 2011 effort that played like the bastard love child of Sam Raimi and Dario Argento. And while Diment has certainly kept himself busy in the years since as a producer, writer and director he has not returned to the director's chair until now with El Eslabon Podrido (The Rotten Link).

A dark - you might even say grisly - black comedy about the residents of a remote village turning on one another, Diment's latest has been selected to take part in the Blood Window Galas at the Cannes Marche du Film and we've got the first trailer - subtitles included - for you below.
