Ruairi Robinson Wants To Unleash THE LEVIATHAN. We Should Let Him. Check The Dazzling Proof Of Concept Now.

When last we heard from Oscar nominated Irish director Ruairi Robinson it was down to his connection with the seemingly aborted Akira live action remake. Robinson was a sort of mid-process cannon fodder on that project, an immensely gifted visual director with a deep love for the source material whose love for said source material and resistance to straying to greatly from it played a major factor in his being replaced.

But what for him since? There have been rumblings here and there but really, what he wants to do is The Leviathan. And here is where everyone who has complained recently about the lack of original content in the scifi world needs to perk up and pay attention. Though it certainly bears some thematic links to Moby Dick, this is an original project on a grand scale - one that Robinson has been developing on his own time. And when you're as visually talented as Robinson and you've got time on your hands, you get ... well, what you get is the sort of proof of concept reel that shoot have scifi fans absolutely losing their minds. This is huge, epic stuff and we can only hope that the reel triggers such a wave of support that the studios line up to support and get on board.
