Restoration is a three part miniseries from director Stuart Willis and if you want to know why you should take this very seriously then I suggest you check out Willis' previous short film Payload here. Willis is the real thing, a visually gifted director who is also very good with character and is capable of generating massive results out of tiny resources. Also on the creative team here on the production side is ScreenAnarchy's former Australian editor Simon de Bruyn which means - among other things - that I know a bit more of what is planned here than just what is given on the official Kickstarter page and it's good stuff, indeed.2019. A company - RESTORATION LIFE SERVICES - offers individuals the service of having their memories downloaded for backup. So, in the event of death, those memories can be uploaded into a new body, a generic host, nicknamed a "jerry".
After a routine backup, Oliver Klein wakes up to find that his memories have been restored into a body that is not his own. Trapped in this foreign body, Oliver Klein struggles to reconnect with his family and his life, and must come face-to-face-with the truth that he is not the only Oliver Klein.
But enough of my rambling, check out the pitch video below and support the project here.
