NYMPHOMANIAC: Von Trier Gets His Metal On With Wildly NSFW First Trailer

Lest there be any remaining doubts as to the sexual content of Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac, the first trailer is here to make things very clear in a manner that seems destined to be removed from YouTube in very short order. It's also, apparently, here to rock your ass as Lars gets his metal on. He is, after all, named Lars.

After a string of clips and recent news that Von Trier had surrendered final cut of the film, this should at least soothe those worried that the shorter version may trim out the more controversial material. No chance of that now, I'd say.

NYMPHOMANIAC is the wild and poetic story of a woman's journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe (Gainsbourg). On a cold winter's evening the old, charming bachelor, Seligman (SkarsgÄrd), finds Joe beaten up in an alley. He brings her home to his flat where he cares for her wounds while asking her about her life. He listens intently as Joe over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushy branched-out and multifaceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.
Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Bell, Christian Slater, Shia LeBeouf, Uma Thurman, Nicolas Bro, Jens Albinus and more star. Check the trailer below.
