Director Benedikt Erlingsson is an avid horse rider and history buff and has created a film that talks about the relationship between man and horse and how sometimes these relationships can go terribly wrong, Hross Í Oss (The Horse In Us). The official line goes as follows;
"A country romance about the human streak in the horse and the horse in the human. Love and death become interlaced and with immense consequences. The fortunes of the people in the country through the horses' perception."
This is Benedikt's first feature film having directed a couple of short films, among them the Fantastic Fest screened The Nail. Some of the readers might also recognize him from Lars Von Trier's The Boss Of It All. The film premiers in Iceland August 28th.
