J.C. Chandor Gives Javier Bardem A MOST VIOLENT YEAR

Ben Wheatley constantly amazes us at ScreenAnarchy with his speed at churning out cinematic masterpieces starting with his debut Down Terrace in 2009. Over the moat in America, J.C. Chandor is fast catching up, already readying his third feature since his debut Margin Call in 2011. It's clear we should be paying closer attention.

At Cannes (following the premiere of his Robert Redford starrer All is Lost) Chandor announced the title of this next film, A Most Violent Year. Now he has just announced his first actor is Javier Bardem. According to Deadline, Bardem will play a good guy in the film, which will shoot in Manhattan this fall.
