The St Kilda Film Festival opens on Thursday 23 May at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, with all subsequent screenings held at the magnificent Astor Theatre. I've been to opening night for the last three or four years and it's highly recommended - the Palais can hold a few thousand people and there's nothing quite like watching a really well-curated program in a giant old theatre with thousands of fellow film fans.
