COLD WAR Wins Big At The 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards

Cold War, one of Hong Kong's best crime thrillers in recent years, has dominated this year's Hong Kong Film Awards, winning a total of 9 awards: Best Film, Best Director (Longman Leung, Sunny Luk Kim Ching), Best Screenplay (Longman Leung, Sunny Luk Kim Ching), Best Actor (Tony Leung Ka Fai), Best New Performer (Alex Tsui), Best Film Editing (Kong Chi Leung & Wong Hoi), Best Original Film Score (Peter Kam Pui Tat), Best Sound Design (Kinson Tsang) and Best Visual Effects (Cecil Cheng). 

It is worth a special mention that Tony Leung Ka Fai's win this year is his fourth Best Actor Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. He previously won for his performances in Reign Behind the Curtain (in 1984), 92 Legendary La Rose Noire (in 1993) and Election (in 2006).

Best Actress went to Miriam Yeung for her performance in director Pang Ho Cheung's Love in the Buff. Ronald Cheng Chung Kei took home the Award for Best Supporting Actor and Dada Chan won Best Supporting Actress for their performances in Pang Ho Cheung's other 2012 film, the hilarious comedy Vulgaria

Incidentally, Cold War, Vulgaria and Love in the Buff were the three most successful local films at the Hong Kong box office in 2012, ranking first, second and third respectively.
