Only in its second year, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is leaping from strength to strength. This year the festival will welcome special guest Amitabh Bachchan, to present the closing night screening of his 1975 blockbuster film Deewar, directed by Yash Chopra. The festival will also host a retrospective of the esteemed actor's films.
Other guests include Vidya Balan, dancer, actor and filmmaker Prabhu Deva, choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan, Simi Garewal, and directors Kabir Khan and Onir. The May festival will also feature a retrospective of works by Chopra - and a visit by his wife, Pamela Chopra.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne runs from May 3-22, 2013. Bachchan will soon be seen in The Great Gatsby, also filmed in Australia.
