Sam Raimi To Direct Greg Kinnear As Ramshackle Lawyer In TV Pilot RAKE

Television, meet Sam Raimi. Yep, after delivering critically-questionable box office hit Oz, the Great and Powerful to cinemas, news has come that Raimi will direct a TV pilot for Fox - the US adaptation of hit Australian TV series Rake, starring Greg Kinnear.

Based on the Aussie TV show which I named as my favourite TV series of last year, Rake follows the chaotic and comedic life of criminal defense lawyer Keegan Joye (Kinnear), brilliant, frustratingly charming, and with zero filter. The Aussie version is a blast and I wholeheartedly recommend tracking it down, especially as with this news, the US version will be huge.
