Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly emerged as one of the buzz films out of Cannes, a picture that kept critics chirping happily away while also promising plenty to keep the general audience happy. And while that certainly didn't come as a surprise given the stellar cast and the talent behind the camera, other titles with similar pedigrees had already left audiences wanting by the time this one hit the Croisette.
