Meat Loaf Anchors Horror-Musical STAGE FRIGHT

Have you heard the tale of Stumpy Sam, boys and girls? If you happened to catch Jerome Sable's short film The Legend Of Beaver Dam on its extensive festival run - it was an official selection in Toronto, Berlin, Sundance and a host of others - then you would have. The blood soaked rock musical was a bona fide sensation and Sable, along with songwriting partner Eli Batalion, have got a heaping dose more where that came from.

How so? Well, Sable has just signed up Minnie Driver and Meat Loaf to appear in his soon-to-shoot feature debut Stage Fright. And, yes, it is once again a horror musical. Deadline pitches it like this:

Stage Fright tells the story of a snobby musical theater camp terrorized by a blood-thirsty masked killer who despises musical theatre. Driver plays Kylie Swanson, the enigmatic and haunted star of the Broadway stage, and mother of siblings Camilla (Allie MacDonald) and Buddy (Douglas Smith) who find themselves at the center of the unfolding horror at the camp. Meat Loaf plays Roger McCall, the fallen-from-grace Broadway producer turned camp director.
