Jr. NTR & Simha's Boyapati Sreenu Join Forces In DAMMU Trailer

From Boyapati Sreenu, the director of 2010's incredibly violent tale of multigenerational revenge, Simha, and the star of Telugu blockbuster Yamadonga, Jr NTR, comes a new vision in ultra violent Tollywood, Dammu.

As usual, not much is known about the plot at this moment, but the trailer speaks volumes. We get countless fancy hacking and slashing implements, swords, daggers, axes, etc. We get some of the most impressive facial hair I've seen in a long while, including a mustache that looks like it's about to fly away entirely. We get some great looking action, though frankly not enough for my liking (the dueling exploding cars are a nice touch, however). Last, and certainly least for non-Telugu speaking audiences, we get what I can only assume are some pretty intense "dialogues" from Jr. NTR, though obviously I have no idea what they are saying.

Dammu opens worldwide on April 19th, and on the slim chance that it plays with English subtitles, I'll be there with bells on to review it. Sreenu's Simha was a revelation; a crazy, bloody, joyride, and I think that Jr. NTR is a better fit for his style than Balakrishna, so I'm expecting great things. Don't let me down!

In the meantime, check out the trailer for Dammu
