With a Christmas release edging up the first teaser poster for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Django Unchained has arrived online. And it feels kind of like a near miss. The concept is good but it feels like the designer tried to split the difference between an iconic illustration (the chain) and something more gritty and realistic (the silhouette) and ended up not really satisfying either. But, hey, it's only a poster.
