Before ending up on Mars, John Carter spent a good amount of time on Earth. His whole life, in fact, and that is exactly where Andrew Stanton's film begins. And so, after conducting an ad campaign focused purely on the Martian flash and bang, Disney have released a ten minute sequence from the film to show off the Earthly part of the story.
