The concept of Boy Scouts Versus Zombies is quite simple: A pack of zombies are intent on eating a group of Girl Scouts on a camping trip and a nearby troupe of Boy Scouts must save them. It's a concept that original writers Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki spun into a Black List script and now Etan Cohen, the writer of Tropic Thunder and Idiocracy, is in talks to direct the film for Paramount.
Cohen has only one previous directing credit - a 2007 short titled My Wife Is Retarded - but has been in demand as a writer for years and his long standing association with Ben Stiller certainly doesn't hurt in industry circles. Cohen is currently supervising a new draft by Lona Williams with no start date set.
