Kshetram stars Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani. Apparently Priyamani is the action heavy in the film and Jagapathi Babu is there to model outstanding mustachios. There is a very camp feeling about the action in the trailer, but without hearing the dialogue, it's difficult to tell if that is intentional or not. My best guess is that Kshetram is going to be a particularly violent masala film in the vein of Simha, which I really enjoyed.
The little I've been able to gather from English language sites on the internet claim that Kshetram is a romance about a couple who hail from different regions, and according to Wikipedia:
The film turns interesting in the run up to the marriage between the two.So we can look forward to that.
All I know is that watching the trailer is seems like this film is about 27 different movies all crammed into 3 hours of awesomeness. There are ghosts, big fucking swords, giant spears, policemen with guns, crazy wigs, giant mustachios, floating gurus, a wedding, martial arts, and all kinds of other crazy shit. This is the Indian cinema I love, it looks absolutely bonkers, and yet I'd bet money that there will be a moral backbone to the entire script. It will be something completely absurd and it will be handled in the most ham-handed way possible.
