The SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN Trailer Stumbles Out Of The Gate

Director Rupert Sanders' Snow White And The Huntsman has just released its first trailer, one that immediately struggles to achieve the necessary suspension of disbelief because the entire story is based on the idea that Kristen Stewart is more attractive than Charlize Theron. The suspension of disbelief is made even tougher by some dodgy special effects work and production values and staging that fail to match the levels of recent television work like Game Of Thrones.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar(r) winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power.
There is a plus side here, though, and it is a pretty big one in the form of Thor's Chris Hemsworth, who proves again that he's got charisma to burn fused with the physical presence of a kick ass action star and the gravity required to really sell this sort of fantasy adventure.

The trailer has just arrived at Apple, check it out there.
