Why are there not more mermaid horror films in the world? The trailer for upcoming Indonesian effort Kuntilanak Mermaid Spirits (Arwah Kuntilanak Duyung) may provide a clue. Yes, these mermaids are beautiful and sexy but they're also evil - a kuntilanak being a sort of evil spirit in local folklore. Another local ghost - a pocong - turns up in the trailer as well along with as much T&A as they can get past the local censors and the overall effect is unintentionally hilarious.
