That Kevin Kline is joining any project is a cause for celebration. That he's playing two parts is a marvel. That both parts were initially earmarked for Kevin James ... well, the upgrade is nothing short of miraculous. And that this project is the latest from writer-director Charlie Kaufman and it will involve Kline singing (a lot), well, that's pretty much bliss.
Kline is joining Nicolas Cage, Jack Black and Steve Carell in Charlie Kaufman's Frank Or Francis. Described as a comedy about online film blogging Kline will appear both as the brother of a film director jilted at the Oscars and the robotic head that he and his brother create to write the perfect film script. And by perfect we mean most Oscar-baiting ever. Evidently half of the dialogue in the film will be sung.
I prefer not to know more than that but if you crave a little more The Playlist have read the script and written about it here.
