Who would have thought that the director of the grim Revenge: A Love Story would turn out to have such a crazy sense of humor and fondness for pyrotechnics?
Director Wong Ching-Po reunites with his Revenge star Juno Mak for Let's Go. With a story revolving around a man obsessed with anime series Space Emperor God Sigma the entire film takes on a very definite anime-gone-live-action tone with frame after frame jammed with colorful characters and physics-defying action. And, if the previously released trailer and freshly arrived TV spot are any indication, Wong appears to have done it better and on a much smaller budget than any of the recent big budget Japanese anime adaptations.
This looks very, very fun. Check the new TV spot below.
